  • Start your journey in Milngavie, the official start of the West Highland Way.
  • Walk north through easy, well-marked trails passing Craigallian and Carbeth Lochs.
  • Skirt the western slopes of the Campsie Fells, a favourite area for Glasgow hillwalkers.
  • A relaxed introduction day through woodland, moorland, and farmland.
  • Finish in the welcoming village of Drymen, at the south-eastern edge of Loch Lomond.

Day 2Drymen → Rowardennan

  • Leave Drymen and pass through Garadhban Forest.
  • Choose between climbing Conic Hill (361m) for panoramic views or taking the lower-level route.
  • Descend to Balmaha on the shores of Loch Lomond.
  • Follow the eastern shoreline through forestry tracks and peaceful bays.
  • End the day in the tranquil lochside setting of Rowardennan.
Day 3Rowardennan → Inverarnan
